How a claim gets verified

  1. 1 Publish a short string Atlas gives you on your business website. Publishing it proves you control that site.
  2. 2 Or, where a register published a website for the record, open a link Atlas mails to an address at that domain.
  3. 3 A licence or a letter can be attached to the claim afterwards. A document supports a maintainer reviewing it and never verifies a claim on its own.

A verified claim never overwrites a register. It lets you file corrections that a maintainer reviews, and an approved correction appears at the next regeneration beside the register value it disagrees with.
